Mary Walsh Ledet passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the age of 97. A native of Erin, Wisconsin and resident of St Martin Parish, LA. Beloved wife of the late Willis A. Ledet. Loving mother of Ronald A. Ledet (Patti) and Patricia L. Brasseaux (Ronald) Grandmother of 3; great-grandmother of 8 and great-great-grandmother of 3. She was preceded in death by her parents Leo Owen and Katherine Walsh; 7 sisters; 2 brothers and one great-granddaughter. She was a former employee of V.A. Hospital New Orleans. She was a Eucharistic Minister and a volunteer at Baptist Hospital New Orleans. Her hobbies included Round Dancing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, (formerly All Faiths), on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of Mass.
