Leon Corbin (Cobin), 62, of Hayes, VA passed away July 19, 2014 at Riverside Convalescent Saluda. Leon was born in South Carolina, one of eight children to John H. and Emma Cobin (both preceded him in death).

Leon was a graduate of Berkeley High School of Moncks Corner, SC. He was an employee of Shells Unlimited, Hayes, VA. Leon was a hard and conscientious worker and a loving brother and friend.
Leon was loved by his family and all who came in contact with him. He was giving, caring and full of life. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Frances Simmons of South Carolina.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Cobin; daughter, Sherry Miller (Wallace); 6 sons, Kevin Cobin (Linda), Levi Cobin, Travis Cobin (Shamonda), Lamont Cobin, Laval Cobin and Anthony Cobin (Shantal) all of South Carolina; sisters and brothers, Joann Brown of South Carolina, Patricia Brown of New York, John Cobin (Yvette) of North Carolina, Ronald Cobin (Sandra) of Maryland, Rose Penn (Johnny Ray) of Virginia and Martha Johnson of Maryland; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service officiated by Chaplain Margaret Louden will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Inurnment will be private.
A special thank you to James Haywood and Deb Hoffman of Gloucester; Chaplain Margaret Louden, Riverside Hospital Staff, Riverside Convalescent, Riverside Walter Reed Hospital, Riverside Walter Reed Hospice and Hogg Funeral Home and Crematory.
